When children won’t settle at night it can cause havoc for the entire family and difficulties for children in everyday activities.

Managing sleep and settling problems are common concerns for the parents of young children. Sleep difficulties affecting children aged 3 to 12 years can perpetuate daytime sleepiness, irritability, over-activity and problems with concentration; affecting school performance and general daytime behaviour.

As well as the child’s sleep being disrupted; parents and other family members often also have their sleep interrupted.

Linked closely is the problem of bedwetting where it is estimated that 100,000 to 150,000 Australian children of 5 to 10 years regularly wet the bed at night. Daytime and/or night-time wetting (in children) are one of the most common problems seen in clinical practices of paediatric urologists.

Often considered a nuisance associated with growing years, wetting can be the source of much anxiety to children, parents, teachers and healthcare providers. Depending on the age of the child, bladder weakness can have a devastating impact on a child’s social life, self-esteem, emotional well-being & overall quality of life.

Whilst conventional management of sleep problems and bedwetting in children have used medication, bed alarms and behavioural and physical interventions, a natural complementary therapy for sleep difficulties and bedwetting may be able to provide the right solution for you.

How does BioLogic Bedtime Buddy work?
Bedtime Buddy® has been especially formulated to help children (and parents) with a smooth bedtime; to help maintain healthy sleep and relieve symptoms of bedwetting.

BioLogic Bedtime Buddy contains a combination of essential oils that are traditionally used in European Aromatherapy for upsets, over-excitement and bedwetting.

Lavender and Roman chamomile are essential oils traditionally used with children to help them relax. With the addition of Lime and Rose geranium the combination of these oils helps to maintain a healthy nervous system and calm children at bedtime. A bonus is that the oils can help to give the parent some more quality time with the child, as well calming the parents!

Myrrh and Cypress oils are included to specifically help relieve symptoms of bedwetting (enuresis) in children. It is thought that these oils help to co-ordinate and assist the efficiency of bladder filling and emptying. In other words they help to improve bladder control and may help to relieve symptoms of bedwetting.

How long does it take before I see results? When can we stop usage?
For bedwetting, results can occur within 1-2 weeks but it is our experience that most users experience results in the first 4-8 weeks. Best results are generally observed by 2 - 3 months. Once optimal results are achieved a lower maintenance dose (half the initial recommended dose) may be followed for another 1-2 months, after which children may then try stopping cream altogether.
