Breastfeeding Tea for breastfeeding mothers is a traditional, nourishing tonic that helps support healthy breast milk production and is beneficial for the digestive system of both mother and baby. Combining the well-known nutritive benefits of nettle with the aromatic seeds of Aniseed, Caraway and Fennel, for a warming, restorative drink.

Rationale
Carum carvi (Caraway): Supports the absorption of iron in the breast feeding mother. Carminative and antispasmodic action supports the digestive system by helping to relieve indigestion, colic, flatulence (gas), bloating and fullness.
Foeniculum vulgare (Fennel seed): Used as a galactagogue to promote the secretion of milk in nursing mothers. Carminative and antispasmodic actions help to relieve indigestion, colic, fullness and flatulence.
Pimpinella anisum (Aniseed) Used as a galactagogue' to promote the secretion of milk in nursing mothers and supports the absorption of iron. Carminative and anti-inflammatory actions help to relieve indigestion, colic, fullness, flatulence.
Urtica dioica (Nettle) Rich in chlorophyll, vitamins and minerals, used as a nutritive tonic and to promote milk flow in nursing mothers.

Each 1g contains
equiv. Dry: Pimpinella anisum, fruit (Aniseed) 250mg; Foeniculum vulgare, fruit (Fennel Seed) 250mg; Carum carvi, fruit (Caraway Seed) 250mg; Urtica dioica, herb (Stinging Nettle) 250mg.

Directions:
Add one 5mL teaspoon (approx. 2g) of tea to 1 cup of cold water and bring to the boil. Simmer for 1 minute, allow to draw for 5 minutes and strain. Drink 3 to 5 cups daily, or as directed by your health care professional.
