Lotus Organic Instant Oats 500g

Lotus Instant Oats are produced by the age old method of drying the oats, removing the husk, cutting the groats into smaller pieces, steaming then rolling between two rollers. Instant oats are much smaller, finer and thinner than traditional rolled oats, making them quick and easy to cook. The most typical use for instant oats is to make porridge.

Oats are a good source of many nutrients and minerals; including Vitamin E, zinc, selenium, copper, iron, manganese and magnesium. Oats are also a source of protein and a significant source of both soluble and insoluble dietary fibre. Lotus instant oats are full of whole grains, rich in beta glucan and contain no preservatives or additives.

Beta glucan helps prevent high serum cholesterol and cardiovascular disease. A daily serving of wholemeal oats rich in soluble fibre can reduce hypertension (high blood pressure). Although NOT gluten free, some people with a wheat sensitivity or Coeliac disease can eat oats.
