Wholegrain rolled rye flakes are produced by steaming the whole rye grain and then rolling the grain flat through two large rollers.
Rye is a great source of protein and dietary fibre. It contains phenolic acids, lignans, alkylresorcinos and many other compounds with potential bioactivities. These flakes are certified organic.
Wholegrain rye is highly sustaining, retaining all the nutrients of the whole grain. Although rye is not gluten free, some people with a gluten or wheat sensitivity may be able to eat rye.
